I can simply transcribe the conversations I have with Doodles.<\/p>\n<p>In the car:<\/p>\n<p>Doodles: What time is it?<br \/>Me: [startled] What?<br \/>Doodles: What time is it?<br \/>Adam and I look at each other and shrug.<br \/>Me: It&#8217;s 1:47<br \/>[pause]<br \/>Doodles: What time is it?<br \/>Me: It&#8217;s still 1:47<br \/>Doodles: What time is it?<br \/>Adam: It&#8217;s now 1:48<br \/>[pause]<br \/>Doodles: What time is it?<br \/>Me: It&#8217;s still 1:48<br \/>[pause]<br \/>Doodles: Wiggles time?<br \/>Me: No<br \/>[pause]<br \/>Doodles: What time is it?<\/p>\n<p>At the breakfast table:<br \/>Adam: Doodles, what do you want for breakfast?<br \/>Doodles: Cereal bar.<br \/>Adam: Which cereal bar?<br \/>Doodles: Green cereal bar.<br \/>[Adam brings out the green cereal bar.]<br \/>Doodles: No! Other green cereal bar.<br \/>Adam: This is the only green cereal bar we have.<br \/>[Minor temper tantrum ensues. I intervene and pull out one of every type of bar we have, which is about seven.]<br \/>Me: Doodles, which bar do you want?<br \/>Doodles: <i>Other<\/i> cereal bar! <i>Other<\/i> cereal bar!<br \/>Me: There are no other cereal bars! Do you want Os? <br \/>Doodles: No.<br \/>Me: Do you want Kix? <br \/>Doodles: No.<br \/>Me: Do you want Cheerios? <br \/>Doodles: No.<br \/>Me: Do you want Squares? <br \/>Doodles: No.<br \/>Me: Do you want to starve?<br \/>Doodles: Yeah.<br \/>Me [to Adam]: He wants to starve.<br \/>Doodles: Starve! Starve! I want starve!<br \/>Me [realizing that Doodles is under the impression that &#8220;starve&#8221; is a type of food, I rummage through the freezer to find some food he hasn&#8217;t seen before and find some rugelach, which I warm up]: Here Doodles. [I place the rugelach on his plate.] This is starve. Enjoy it.<br \/>Doodles [very upset now, shoves the rugelach back at me]: <i>Other<\/i> starve!!
